The project will fund Eday Partnership's (EP) 'Eday Community Wind and Sustainability' project, for two years, to purchase land, install and operate a 900kW community owned wind turbine exporting renewable energy to the national grid. The community controlled EP will use the estimated £2.5 million profit over 20 years to regenerate the island, benefiting all 135 residents and five local community groups.
