Community Befrienders (360G-tnlcomfund-0030101966)

This new project based in Birmingham aims to improve the quality of life for older people within BME communities who are disadvantaged through isolation, lack of communication skills, reduced confidence and self esteem and who often never leave the house. The project aims to re-engage this isolated group and encourage healthy eating, and increased activity within the community through the provision of befriending visits, and activities to encourage interaction and integration.
