A befriending scheme for older people in West Bradford. Focus will be on improving the social and emotional wellbeing of isolated older people at home or in care homes and sheltered housing through a peer support group programme of social events and activities. Age Concern Bradford & District (ACBD) will provide volunteers to make weekly visits to create social interaction, provide emotional support and assistance with mail and telephone calls, accompany them on hospital visits and other activities.
