This Tsunami project in Sri Lanka will provide loans and business, marketing and financial management skills. It will also provide training for home-based carers to look after ill and bedridden older people. Communities will be provided with the skills to manage and run a revolving fund. Their capacity to share learning and advocate for the rights of older people will be increased by the strengthening of a country-wide network and by strengthening the government organisations that are meant to support them.
