The creation of a purpose-built community centre in Baildon (360G-tnlcomfund-0030109332)

This group will use funding to replace an inadequate community centre with a fit-for-purpose, carbon-neutral building It will benefit all residents of Baildon, but in particular those living on the Ferniehurst estate. Activities hosted will include a local food co-operative, adult education, and a community café. Beneficiaries will have access to a befriending scheme, parent and toddler groups, arts and crafts classes and healthy living sessions. Construction is expected to take nine months.
