GAVO Sunflower Project (360G-tnlcomfund-0030111615)

This three year project will develop a befriending service within two newly built 100% single room hospitals in Caerphilly and Blaenau Gwent. The project will benefit 10,000 patients, 250 volunteers and 50 organisations. Volunteers will provide 1:2:1 befriending and various activities which will alleviate the isolation felt by patients, whilst themselves gaining valuable skills and experience in the health and social care setting. The grant will fund 4 new posts, other revenue, capital and overhead costs.
