To train people in DIY skills to maintain community buildings and green spaces. The DIY SOS project will provide four five-week long courses to participants in Sussex to help them improve areas in their neighbourhood. In addition, participants can take part in basic home maintenance courses to learn how to carry out repairs in their own homes. The project will help 200 people, including unemployed and low-waged people, lone parents, people with physical or learning disabilities and ethnic minorities.
