This project, based in the Kitui District of Kenya, aims to improve livelihoods and food security for 3,000 smallholder farmers and their families. It will organise farmers into 60 farmers groups and will provide them with training to increase poultry production. Representatives from each of the farmers groups will form a poultry producer and marketing association, which will be supported to buy farming inputs collectively. It will also help the associations to develop market links for their products. _x000B__x000B_
