The 'Older People Services Development Project' will work with older BME (black and minority ethnic) people, to improve their quality of life of by improving access to benefits and support services. A trained outreach worker will work with older BME people and agencies such as DWP, Local Authorities and Care and Repair to facilitate communication and help overcome any cultural barriers.The three-year grant will fully fund the salary of a Development Worker and will cover transport and translation costs.
