Sukumuland Older Women's Rights Programme (360G-tnlcomfund-0030136536)

£519,221

This project aims to develop existing work in areas of Tanzania. The project will promote an environment in which women, especially older women, can exercise their civil and political rights. It will also enable human rights defenders to campaign peacefully on their behalf by challenging the poverty, traditional gender roles, adherence to traditional practices, incidence of witchcraft accusations and lack of legal protection that perpetuate abuse of women's rights in targeted regions of Tanzania.
