In the last twelve months, Ashwood Community Resource have been able to lease and refurbish a centre in Kirkby in Ashfield with funding from the Big Lottery Fund and Coalfields Regeneration Trust. This second grant will enable them to employ a Youth Co-ordinator and part-time Youth Work Assistant to develop and expand their activities for young people, including an after school club, youth drop-in and cyber cafe.
