This three year grant will fully fund the purchase of office equipment, care attendants' wages and travel costs (allowing at least an additional 2500 care hours in Year 1, rising to at least an additional 3500 hours in Years 2 and 3), and the costs of an external evaluation study. The project will enable the Alliance to develop its flexible home-based respite care service for carers, and also its support and practical assistance for vulnerable people living alone who do not have a recognised carer.
