The overall aim of this research is to take an in-depth look at social and emotional needs of lone men in the county of Surrey. Older men, except when physically frail have been shown to avoid using traditional services provided for the elderly. The research will be looking at the wider psychological support, which improves their quality of life._x000B_The number of older men (as a proportion of older people) is set to increase, whilst at the same time the number of divorced older people is also rising.
