Electrification of the Isle of Eigg. (360G-tnlcomfund-0030141504)

The project will provide 24-hour electricity for the remote island of Eigg, which is currently reliant on expensive household level generation facilities. All 87 residents on Eigg will benefit from the scheme, but the system will ultimately be designed to provide electricity for a projected population of 136 within 10 years. This 2-year grant will part fund construction costs and professional fees for the scheme.
