This project will engage individuals in recovery from drug and alcohol issues in practical conservation across 17 sites in England. Recovery through Nature recruits beneficiaries from treatment services providing a mutually supportive therapeutic programme away from traditional treatment settings to reduce the risk of relapse. These practical outdoor experiences support new skills and qualifications, improve health and well-being, self-confidence, self-worth and social interaction.
