The funding will be used to develop existing support services for parents with post natal depression in the local area. The project aims to reduce social isolation and provide support through group work and counselling. Therapy will involve both parents seeing an expert counsellor for 12 sessions initially and for as long as required after this. Group sessions will include a mum’s craft group, dad’s group focusing on how they can support their partner and a mixed gender group offering parenting advice.
