The funding will be used to develop a social impact bond to provide a community based service to prevent the development of Type 2 diabetes and complications amongst those who already have the disease, to be delivered across Devon. The aim is to educate patients and give them the skills, such as cooking, exercise and medication adherence, to self-care. It will be commissioned by Public Health Devon. The grant will fund legal support, procurement, contract planning, project management and other support.
