The organisation will use the funding to develop a ‘Reminiscence Room’ at their care home for current and future service users with varying stages of dementia. The project will also provide training and raise awareness of dementia to private, statutory and third sector agencies, carers, staff and volunteers. This will enable the organisation to provide a relaxing, therapeutic environment for those with dementia, conducive to prompting long term memories and recollections.
