The funding is for the final phase of works and will encompass substantial alterations to the internal layout of the building, the staircase and reception area. Additionally, a large open plan cafe space will be created, which will facilitate informal socialisation. Existing kitchen facilities will be redeveloped and expanded. Existing community spaces will be redesigned to better accommodate activities such as adult learning, educational attainment classes and IT skills workshops.
