This project will provide respite for young carers on a five-day ocean voyage. Young carers groups from across Scotland will participate with ten young carers and two adult group leaders on each voyage. Young carers will help plan the voyages, this will include contributing to the risk assessment, navigation, cooking, cleaning, watch-keeping, steering, and boat handling. Activities will build team-working, problem solving, time-keeping and communication skills. Every young carer will gain a qualification.
