The group will develop a community food shop for local people facing disadvantage and families with low incomes, which will be ran on a ‘pay what you can’ basis to reduce the stigma attached to accessing a regular food bank. Through the shop, people can also engage in wellbeing activities, drop-in support sessions and budgeting workshops. This will reduce stress, enable people to budget better, improve access to community services, and improve quality of life.
