Connecting Older People (360G-tnlcomfund-0045365951)

The funding will be used to support older people in Telford and Wrekin to transition from the pandemic so that they feel confident and safe to leave their homes take up regular activities engage with their communities and be able to access wider support networks and services. It will allow the group to continue its Telephone Chat Scheme which was set up in March 2020 this has proven to be an effective intervention for loneliness and isolation and provides an opportunity to identify people who might need further help. The funding will also allow the group to continue to offer signposting and keep older people informed through regular newsletter magazine giving details about services support activities events and volunteering and they will continue to recruit older volunteers.
