The project will use the funding to support the Asian community in central Birmingham to assess the validity of online information to build community resilience against fake news and challenge vaccine misinformation. This project will promote journalistic critical thinking and investigative skills as a solution to disinformation firstly by drawing attention to the need for these skills and secondly by providing accessible online and social media resources developed by and for the Asian community to build resilience against fake news through using a range of fact-checking techniques to distinguish between fact fake and opinion and understanding and identifying bias.
