The funding will help the organisation continue and expand its Serendipity groups for people on the Autism spectrum across Hampshire. The charity provides autism-focused Training Domiciliary Care Supported Living services Mentoring and an Information Advice and Guidance Team that responds to an average of 9000 requests for help each year. Its Serendipity groups are safe environments for people on the autism spectrum to meet and talk with likeminded people to build social skills and reduce isolation. Activities are determined by the interests of members (board games quizzes guest speakers) and are free to attend with a small charge for refreshments. There are currently seven groups who meet in Southampton Winchester Eastleigh Fareham and Aldershot plus online groups as a result of C19.
