The funding will be used to develop a family hub to support parents and carers of disabled children and adults in the Normanton area of Derby. The hub will allow for multi-lingual support in a variety of languages including Czech Hindi Latvian Mirpuri Polish Punjabi Russian Slovakian or Urdu. St James Centre (SJC) is a charity that supports disabled people with learning disabilities including profound and complex needs physical disabilities and mental health challenges. The people they support also have experiences of social isolation caring responsibilities may be at risk of involvement in anti-social behaviour or crime have low educational attainment or need language support to access services.
