The funding will be used to use creative activities to support positive mental health and wellbeing across communities. The purpose of this provision is to allow individuals to become more confident with their own mental health and ultimately live fuller active lives in their community. Birmingham Centre for Arts Therapies has been established for nearly 30 years. In this time they have assisted numerous children and adults offering an alternative approach to dealing with mental and physical health. It will offer professional arts therapies and a community activity programme that supports people in developing inner strength confidence empowerment engagement and personal goals that build positive mental health and wellbeing. Sessions offer friendships re-engagement with the local community warmth empowerment confidence and mutual support.
