This funding will support YMCA St Helens to deliver their Listening Service. The YMCA will provide low level mental health support to young people aged 12-18 in St Helens as well as providing opportunities for social action. The organisation operates a wide range of projects which includes a mix of housing training support and advice to 250+ homeless people and 150+ families and young people per year. Their work includes provision of 147 units of accommodation for those aged 18-55 support and advice combined with training and education to provide a ‘stepping stone to independence’ and their family and youth work includes the operation of a registered nursery.
