The funding will be used to support Manchester Alliance for Community Care (Macc) to continue to host co-ordinate and develop the Greater Manchester Older People’s Network (GMOPN). The GMOPN hosted by Macc is a network of people aged 50 and over and organisational representatives working for positive change for older people in Greater Manchester (GM). The GMOPN is a network of almost 500 members made up of older people and organisational representatives that works for positive change for older people in Greater Manchester. It facilitates co-production with key strategic partners and campaigns for change. It has three main working groups developed and led by older people themselves that focus on ‘Health and Social Care’ Housing and Neighbourhoods’ and ‘Transport and Out and About’. It links strategically to all ten boroughs of Greater Manchester and influences at a GM level.
