This funding will be used to expand this project’s national information helpline and pilot advocacy services and create a new peripatetic Specialist Nurse service providing dedicated support for those affected by ataxia across areas of low provision across England. People with ataxia will be enabled to improve sustain or slow the decline of their mental and physical health functioning and wellbeing through provision of advice advocacy and support in accessing timely and accurate diagnosis navigating specialist care and addressing associated social and financial issues.
