The funding will enable Tameside Sports Trusts to support families from across Tameside through health and wellbeing focused activities and support. As part of this provision TST have trained over forty young people aged 16-21 years to help with the delivery of the activities and employed 12 young adults with learning disabilities to work on the project. The funding will be used to continue and expand this offer to families and children across Tameside for all school holidays. The training / qualification element of the project will also continue and be offered to young people who are the furthest from the workforce and free holiday activities (9am – 3pm) will take place for children across all school holidays. Training and qualifications will include food hygiene first aid lifeguards level 1 Youth community Level 1 bikeability and swimming teachers.
