This group will use funding to provide a range of community-centred interventions aimed at supporting a diverse range of individuals to combat social isolation loneliness and health inequalities across the remote-rural area. Participants will benefit from a staff coordinated and volunteer-led programme of social and inclusion activities as well as the pre-established hospital transport service and an expanded transport service to support social activities. Beneficiaries will primarily be older and/or more vulnerable members of the community experiencing deprivation and isolation due to the higher income standards associated with rurality and the current cost of living crisis.
