This funding will be used by African Voice in Moston to deliver their signposting support and food bank activities which provides support to families living in poverty in North Manchester. African Voice in Moston provide a drop-in service three days a week and feel good wellbeing sessions once a week and a foodbank once a week. They cover the areas of Harpurhey Blackley Monsall Moston Crumpsall Collyhurst and Dam-head in North Manchester. They work to meet the immediate crisis needs of vulnerable families in poverty isolation those fleeing domestic abuse those without recourse to public funds disabled people and struggling individuals on a low income. They specialise in working with those from Africa living in Manchester who have been affected most by the cost of living crisis due to language educational and cultural barriers that have left them at a disadvantage.
