The funding will support the organisation's advice service to provide additional advice and support to communities in Calderdale West Yorkshire (WY) who are struggling with issues relating to welfare benefits energy/utilities debt and digital access to financial entitlements. It aims to support an extra 420 people living in poverty who are suffering from the long-term effects of austerity the pandemic and increasing living costs. CAC will continue to provide multiple channels for clients to access advice/support to suit their needs and preferences; including face-to-face in their town centre offices and in partners’ premises along with telephone/video appointments and their website’s ‘contact us’ page. Clients of all ages will also have access to online self-service information through the National Citizens Advice Guide.
