The funding will support The Old Saw Mill CBS Limited to continue to run their café and community hub provision targeting vulnerable people in Congleton. Funding core costs will enable them to build their organisational capacity increase voluntary opportunities support the improvement of social cohesion and reduce social isolation for service users. At least 36% of Congleton’s population are over 55 10% are in bad or very bad health 39% live in single households and 38% are economically inactive. TOSM seeks to address these stats with a mission to work for the benefit of the community as a volunteer-led organisation which challenges social isolation supports and enhances community cohesion and works to create a better fairer and environmentally sustainable town.
