Age Concern Tameside will use their award to hold a range of events to commemorate the 60th anniversary of VE Day for the elderly. The events will include a classic 1940s cinema day, a street party, 1940s catering competition and a VE Day Tea dance. These activities will bring together older members of the community so that they can enjoy the occasion and reminisce about the war years.
