Thursley Village Hall has planned several activities to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the end of World War Two. There will be an exhibit of mementoes, recollections from residents and a description of the village in wartime. A 1940's dance with a swing band will be held with people encouraged to dress in a style from the era. A church service will be held to honour all those who served.
