The Institution Of Royal Engineers will use a grant to organise an event aimed at reuniting ex-service personnel from the WW2 era to coincide with the onset of Veteran's week at the end of July. Displays will be carried out by the Royal Engineers alongside a team of barrage balloon, searchlight and bomb disposal experts that hark back to the Blitz during 1940-41. There will also be a large number of families participating in the event.
