The Golden Oldies Project; combating loneliness; supporting well-being (360G-tnlcomfund-a0rP200000GdPmxIAF)

The funding will be used to develop a programme of events for older people. This will follow from a pilot programme and is based on feedback it will deliver a monthly in-house and off-site tea dances and offer a space for friendship socialising and fun while supporting their health and wellbeing. A hot meal will be provided at each dance. This project will expand into more isolated areas of the region as well as providing a buddy and outreach scheme. Transport will be available when required. The project aims to bring people together and create friendships improve health and wellbeing reduce isolation and assist with the cost of living.
