| Recipient Org: Description | The Afghan Association of London (AAL) was established in 1995 to assist Afghan refugees with their integration into UK society. The Association provides a wide range of practical support, help and advice. The Association has assisted thousands of refugees to successfully integrate and to make a positive contribution to UK society. In addition to advice, the Association has initiated and successfully led numerous projects including; advice and information, youth and sport activities, English and Math classes, women group activities, elderly group meetings, organising social and cultural events, working in partnership with major charities highlight the plight of refugees, promoting equal opportunity, tackling poverty and inequality by helping and encouraging their community members to improve their lives through education, training, and volunteering. |
