Recipient Org: Description Lee Green Lives is a community organisation, initially formed to reinvigorate Leegate, a run-down shopping centre, and ensure local residents had a say in its redevelopment. Since then, it has operated a community centre, and widened its remit to provide activities particularly for those experiencing social and economic disadvantage, the vast majority having a protected characteristic. Estimated attendances: over 1500 annually; includes about 250 individuals visiting Support & Advocacy service for intensive help in overcoming difficulties with a range of benefits, PIP, housing and other issues. LGL also facilitates joint work in Consortium of 16 other local community groups.
