Unrestricted funding to support a new start-up: "Reset" (incubated by Purposeful Ventures) (360G-zing-133)

Funding Organisation
£10,000

"Reset" is a bold initiative designed to provide intensive specialist psycho-social treatment that will transform the lives of some of the most vulnerable children in the UK. The children Reset supports are likely to be aged from as young as 12 and up to around the age of 18. All will face complex challenges that stem from traumatic and often abusive childhoods, such as mental health issues, self harming, being sexually and/or criminally exploited and getting caught up in other harmful risk-taking behaviours. The programme's design is led by Sophie Humphreys OBE, who ZING previously funded toward the development of "SHiFT". Reset will utlisise the same breaking cycle ingredients that underpin both SHiFT and Pause, supporting some of the country’s most vulnerable children and adults. It will work with Local Authorities and other statutory partners to enhance their existing services and to deliver an intense programme, including a core residential element, facilitated by a highly skilled Reset practitioner. Reset will pilot a different way of working with children who are currently being deprived of their liberty, often in unsuitable or ultimately ineffective residential placements.
