Global Legal Action Network - Utilising Legal Tools to Address Complicity in Environmental (GB-CHC-1087053-006Qv00000LhWJu)

£100,000

Funding in support of GLAN's work to expose and challenge the role of financial institutions and markets in enabling environmental destruction and human rights abuses. The grant will support investigations into commodity supply chains linked to harms in the Brazilian Amazon and West Papua, tracing connections to UK-based financial actors. Funding will also enable strategic engagement with investors, regulators and financial institutions, alongside legal action designed to strengthen accountability and improve due diligence across the financial system. The overall aim is to reduce the flow of finance to harmful activities and promote more responsible economic practices.
