Recipient Org: Description The CAB provides a free, confidential advice, information and advocacy service on a broad range of social, legal and personal problems/issues to the community of Moray with the main objective and activity continuing to be the provision of information and advice to the general public. If it did not exist some of the most vulnerable inhabitants would suffer even greater disadvantage. In the last year of operations it assisted 40,982 people with 7941issues/problems and there is a growing demand for its services in the current financial downturn. In addition to its normal range of activities it runs a specialist housing and employment service funded by the Legal Aid Board, provides Independent Advice and Support Service regarding NHS concerns and complaints and, in partnership with Macmillan Support providing information and advice to those affected by cancer.
