Recipient Org: Description | DASH is a registered charity and exists to provide group support to people with mental health problems, anxiety and debt problems. It was established in 2006 and currently organises four support group meetings per week in the Camelon area of Falkirk. They meet in a local community centre. The sessions are run by a paid sessional counsellor and individual counselling and group sessions are also available. An average of 50-60 people attend the groups on a weekly basis. The organisation is well known in the area and the feedback from group members is very positive. People come together to share their experiences and benefit from peer support. The work helps to reduce isolation and help members to develop confidence and improved self-esteem. |
