Recipient Org: Description Isaro Community Initiative is a BAME community-led organisation based in Centre81, Glasgow. Established in 2010, ISARO works with migrants, refugees and asylum seekers to promote and build an empowered community through social and economic integration, advancement of education and sustainable development. Our projects include - Open Doors : This project aims to reduce isolation and loneliness by create a safe space for support and connections. We run a weekly women?s meetings, men?s chat and chill, and youth groups (60% of our service users are women, 30% children and young people and 10 % men). Our community of women, meets for regular cooking classes, relaxation exercises, art and craft sessions and keep fit activities. We have regular community lunches, monthly outdoors activities open to all (visits to historical and cultural sites, woodland visits and appreciating etc).We host multicultural multicultural events to promote culture sharing . We also have an English conversation café both online and face to face. We run a weekly advice and information drop-in service, adult community learning opportunities to increase life skills . : this is a weekly after school club for primary school children -Aspire youth program : the project provides interactive activities for young people aged 13+ with the aim to develop various life skills. Under the project we also run a weekly after school and a weekly homework club. Climate Challenge Initiative : the projects raises awareness on climate change and encourage members of BAME communities to reduce their carbon emissions by using energy efficiently, recycling, reuse
