Recipient Org: Description The Attic SCIO was founded in 1997 and operating from their rented premises, works with the community, especially young people in Kirkton, Dundee, a highly deprived area, helping them to build their personal, social, health and community development skills. Although their work is predominantly with young people, the whole community can engage through various projects including their community garden and orchard, community drop-in and community lunches. Main activities for young people are a Kids Club for primary school children and Clanz Youth for young people, both clubs meeting weekly during term time, but they also provide camps three times a year, holiday activity weeks, as well as trips, events, home visits and volunteer training. On average, they work with 120 children and 130 adults annually.
