Recipient Org: Description Fife Gingerbread is a charity dedicated to supporting lone parents and vulnerable families across Fife. Our purpose is to empower families experiencing poverty, inequality, and isolation and we do this through project work and with our skilled support staff. Our projects are Making it Work for Families, Making it Work for Lone Parents, Early Years and Family Approach. We combine family support work with employability to help parents make positive steps for the future. Our main activities include one-to-one support in the home or in the community, group work (tea-time clubs toddler groups, confidence and art classes among others), and advocacy at appointments and schools. These are all aimed at addressing issues such as mental health, financial hardship, and social isolation. We also work in partnership with other third sector organisations to ensure families have access to the resources they need. We work with and in the community, and work hard to create brighter futures for families across Fife.
