A term time out of school care service operating from 3pm ? 6pm Monday to Friday. This service bridges the gap between school and home time and provides a few hours for children to play, take part in activities and have fun with their peers. The term time service offers a small healthy snack for children. ? A full time school holiday service available between the hours of 8am ? 6pm Monday to Friday. This offers a mixture of sports activities, arts and crafts, day trips away and lots of fun fuinteractive activities. Holiday programs run alongside the school holidays for spring and October. The summer holiday program will cover the 4 week period commencing on the first Monday following school closure for this term break. Within our club we have a polish family, 2 Ukrainian families and one Lithuanian family These children all thoroughly enjoy themselves and have built good friendships and confidence in while attending our club Both services are appropriate for children from the age of 4.5 ? 12 years. During both term time and holidays, children are able to choose from numerous activities including: books, arts and crafts, PlayStation, Lego, construction toys, drawing and colouring, sports, dancing, quiet area, computing facilities, outdoor play. We encourage our children to suggest activities that they would like to do and trips they would like to go on. Sometimes we will bring in outside agencies to provide workshops and fun activities. The Club ensures that children are busy and active after school. It is a place to be with friends and to make new ones. They are safe, they are engaged in learning and activities and they are being supervised. The Club also gives peace of mind to parents as they are not worrying about children going home to an empty house or having to make alternative, inconsistent arrangements for them to be looked after. This can put children at an increased risk for sedentary screen time, poor food choices and challenging behaviours. We believe that after school and holiday childcare can help to develop social and communication skills, encourage play and interaction, reduce challenging behaviours and promote physical health. Parents may report that their children are spending less time on electronics or in front of the television and are keen to go outside with their friends or go to clubs and activities.
