Recipient Org: Description Auchtermuchty Community Centre?s purpose is to provide facilities to advance the well-being and education of the inhabitants of Auchtermuchty and the surrounding area in a recreational, social welfare and leisure time capacity. The Centre focuses on inclusion, hosting a wide range of activities in a thriving and welcoming environment, with users? ages ranging from new-borns to people in their 90s and above. It supports other organisations and community groups, fostering a community spirit. It facilitates the provision of education of young people through recreational and leisure time activities. On any one day, there will be children, adults and seniors using the Centre and engaging with each other, providing educational opportunities and targeting loneliness and exclusion. The Centre provides an opportunity for volunteering: many of the Centre activities and community groups are run by volunteers. It works with Fife Council to target support needed within the community, via a job club, home care and social work meetings. The Centre seeks out opportunities to help the more vulnerable in the community, most recently through hot lunches delivered during the pandemic, and now through a warm hub and community lunches addressing the cost of living crisis.
