Recipient Org: Description At Safe Strong & Free, our mission is to empower all children to feel safe, strong, and free from harm. To achieve this, we educate children and young people about abuse and provide them with the necessary tools to recognise and protect themselves from harm. Our program is delivered through interactive workshops facilitated by trained professionals who use a range of age-appropriate teaching methods to engage and educate children about personal safety, healthy relationships, internet safety, and child sexual exploitation. Our program is designed to be delivered over a period of several weeks and includes follow-up activities that reinforce the key messages and help children retain the information they have learned. We have received positive feedback from children, parents, and teachers, who have reported increased awareness of abuse risks and a better understanding of how to stay safe. In addition to educating children, we also provide support and guidance to parents and caregivers on how to approach sensitive issues with their children and recognise signs of abuse. Moreover, we train and support adults who work with children to create a wider network of safeguarding that promotes child protection and wellbeing. By raising awareness about child abuse and promoting a culture of safeguarding, we aim to reduce the stigma and silence surrounding abuse and encourage more open and supportive dialogue within families and communities. Finally, we work with communities and other organisations to build networks of support around children and young people, ensuring that vulnerable children have access to the necessary resources and support to stay safe and thrive. Our efforts are geared towards creating a safe and secure environment where all children can grow up free from harm.
